| Frog Eye opened January 1st, 2002 with the intention of teaching the art of spinning. We have developed an individual lesson plan which takes about 5 hours to complete. Instruction begins with an overview of different spinning materials, i.e., wool, cotton, silk, mohair, angora ... and yes, even dog hair! The processing of wool into "roving" is explained as well as how twist turns fiber into yarn. Once the basics have been covered, fun at the wheel begins. After 2 - 3 hours of hands-on tutoring, the student is making their own "designer" yarn! Class fees: $60 for a one-day private lesson and includes all materials. | ![]() |
